Faster fingers
Our first official patch. A smoother engine, prize chests to crack open, a brand-new 100% Club and a home for the community on Discord. A huge thank you from all of us at TypeKO to every player who sent feedback, reported a bug or just kept coming back for one more round. You shaped this patch.
New
- 100% Club: a leaderboard just for flawless runs, with bigger gem and key prizes and exclusive keycap avatars for the top 3.
- Reward chests: prizes and finished quests now arrive as chests you open yourself. Bronze for daily, silver for weekly, gold for monthly.
- Top-10 climb: beat a rival and watch your row slide up past them after the round.
- Rep your country: pick a flag and it shows beside your name on the boards and your profile.
- Recent activity: profiles now show a player's last 5 games.
- Community challenges page: every goal the community has smashed, with dates and how many players helped.
- The TypeKO Discord is open. Join from the footer, the Games page or any profile, then suggest games, report bugs and show off your scores.
- Post your Arena score card straight to the TypeKO Discord from the Share window.
- Bug Hunter: a rare avatar for players whose reports or feedback make the game better.
- TypeKO staff are easy to spot: a coral-and-ivory glow round their keycap, a name effect nobody else can have, and a STAFF pill beside their name.
- Mystery boxes can now drop huge 10,000 and 20,000 gem jackpots. Good luck.

Gameplay
- Smoother typing at high speed.
- Tab or Esc restarts an Arena round instantly. Ctrl+Backspace deletes a word.
- Your live WPM is bigger and glows like a traffic light, turning gold the moment you beat your best.
- A calmer combo meter that heats up as your streak grows.
- Keyfall: clearer rules for the power bar and jams, plus a thud when a letter gets through.
Quality of life
- Sign in with your nickname or email.
- Reset times are live countdowns, wherever you play from.
- A Controls button in every game shows every key you can press.
- The news bar is clickable: tap a name for their profile or a reward to preview it.
- Around your rank shows just the player above and below you, and how close they are.
- Pick showcase trophies from a popup with rarity filters.
- New avatars and unclaimed rewards glow until you check them.
- The Games page shows when your daily and weekly One-Shot are ready.
Fixes
- Trophies no longer flash as unlocked before your stats load.
- The cookie notice no longer covers sign-in buttons on phones.
- The news bar scrolls the same for everyone.
- Phone leaderboards show names, avatars and cosmetics in full.
